Who are we?
LWC is a group of around 70 couriers pushing for real change. Unlike others, we are couriers ourselves—we know what needs improvement.
In 2022, we established the first council and won the majority in the workers' council election. We've been fighting for couriers’ rights ever since. Now, we need your vote again! 🚴♀️💪
What have we achieved so far?
💸
Forced Lieferando into payment negotiations: We’re pushing for a higher base salary (over 13€/hour), night-time, weekend, and holiday bonuses, and seniority-based pay (higher wages the longer you stay).
💡
Shift swaping & dropping: We made it easier for couriers to swap and drop shifts when needed.
🛡️
Secured a safety expert from 01.01.2025: We negotiated health and safety agreements, bringing major improvements in 2025!
⚖️
Fighting unfair terminations: supported 20+ workers in filing lawsuits after wrongful termination -helping them win their jobs back
💰
400€ for Spandau couriers: After Spandau merged with Berlin, couriers were forced to travel much longer distances. Together, we took Lieferando to court and won - securing a 400€ compensation per worker under a "social plan"
📢
regular assemblies: We hold four assemblies per year, providing crucial information and a space for discussion. Attending courieres are paid for their time.
📰
newsletter: we've sent out 64 newsletter covering your rights on shift planning, dangerous weather, fixed shifts, and more - things the employer should be informing you about but doesn't.
💸
payslip support: We help workers understand their payslips and claim missing wages.
🏢
consultation hours: The Council Office is a safe space where you can come during your shift to get support on any issue - and you get paid for it!
📄
Fairer Contracts & Reliable Shift Planning: We’ve fought for workers to secure more hours and fixed shifts, to ensure greater stability and consistency in their work schedules.
Rise against management!
🚨
Our assets, their profit: We cover our own cost without fair compensation: 📱 phones, 🚲 bikes, 🚗 cars, 🔒 insurance
🚗
car drivers: We’re fighting for company liability insurance, realistic km compensation, and the ability to block restaurants without parking spaces.
💰
Growing money gap: CEO profits rise while our bonuses shrink. Order prices have nearly doubled, but our pay isn’t keeping up. Inflation hits us all, but our income keeps dropping.
⚠️
last order & safety risks: Unpaid drive home after the last order —sometimes extended by Lieferando’s algorithm. Exhaustion leads to accidents, especially for car drivers.
